During the past 3 years ENTOFOOD gathered a large factual database on the insect zootechny. This gives us a unique asset to offer services, forecasts and industrial development with a very high degree of reliability. Since our inception we have produced 6 billion eggs, 30 million broodstocks and achieved 2000 grow-out cycles within our pilot phase.
ENTOFOOD has conceived, studied and validated automated production lines (processing of organic side-stream, grow-out facility, harvesting and processing of finished products) to enable rollout of large-scale operations.
Technical choices have been made taking into account market needs of volume, production cost and quality.
Alternative to fishmeal. ENTOFOOD BSF meal is used in compound feed for animal nutrition.
The live larvae are used for all stages of development in aquaculture, free-range livestock, pets or ornamental fish.
Used in animal nutrition for its energetic quality, ENTOFOOD BSF oil is integrated in the production of compound feed or used as coating for pellets.
ENTOFOOD process generates no waste. The by-product of the process is the biofertilizer rich in major nutrients (N-P-K) and trace elements of natural origin.
